Letter in Support of Dr. Ilham Nasser to Serve on Virginia Board of Education

The Virginia Coalition for Human Rights (VCHR), a group of 25 affiliate organizations that support human rights for all Virginians, hereby nominates and supports Dr. Ilham Nasser to serve on the Virginia Board of Education when a position becomes available in June 2026.

With more than thirty years’ experience in local, regional, and international educational settings, Dr. Nasser would be an asset to the Board. She has expertise in many fields, including early childhood education, curriculum and instructional design, and educator professional development. We believe these qualifications support Board goals in both its Vision and Mission Statements: the creation of a system of public education that prepares all students to become engaged, enlightened, and self-reliant citizens in global society.
